The Canada Centre for Community Engagement and Prevention of Violence leads the Government of Canada's efforts to counter radicalization to violence. It administers the Community Resilience Fund, providing grants and contributions to organizations working on prevention and counter-violent extremism initiatives across Canada. View Canada Centre for Community Engagement and Prevention of Violence's website for more information.

The Canada Centre serves as the federal hub for countering radicalization to violence in Canada. Through its Community Resilience Fund, it provides time-limited funding to support organizations working to improve Canada's knowledge on prevention and countering violent extremism. The Centre coordinates with multiple government departments and international partners to advance the National Strategy on Countering Radicalization to Violence.
The primary funding mechanism is the Community Resilience Fund (CRF), which supports research, programming, evaluation, and networking activities. Eligible recipients include national, provincial, territorial, municipal, Indigenous, youth-led, community and professional organizations, universities, research institutions, and international NGOs. The Fund does not provide funding to federal institutions.
Applications are assessed based on alignment with the National Strategy priorities, organizational capacity, project feasibility, and potential impact on preventing radicalization to violence. Projects must demonstrate relevance to the Canadian context and involve not-for-profit activities.
Public Safety Canada maintains a disclosure of grant and contribution awards page. The Canada Centre publishes project descriptions for funded initiatives and regularly announces funding through news releases.
