Blue River Foundation is a private, family-managed, not-for-profit philanthropic organization based in Atlantic Canada. Registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, it provides funding to support animal welfare causes and nutritional support programs for youth and adults in need.
The foundation supports two main causes: animal welfare organizations (rescue organizations, educational programs, community partnerships) and nutritional support programs addressing food insecurity among youth and adults in Atlantic Canada.
Applications are accepted through an online form. The board meets twice yearly (spring and fall) to review requests. If approved, applicants receive an email requesting additional detailed information about their request.
As a CRA-registered charity, Blue River Foundation supports registered charities and/or other qualified donors under the Income Tax Act.
