BMO for Women is an initiative of BMO Financial Group supporting women-led and women-owned businesses across Canada. BMO for Women is a dedicated initiative of BMO Financial Group, one of Canada's largest banks, focused on supporting women entrepreneurs and women-led businesses. The program brings together capital, guidance, and connection to help women-owned ventures grow at every stage of their business journey.
The flagship grant program provides $10,000 CAD to ten Canadian women-owned businesses annually. Since its inception in 2020, the program has supported numerous women entrepreneurs across various sectors. The 2025 program focuses on businesses addressing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), including gender equality, decent work, and sustainable communities.
Total approximate value: up to $11,700 CAD per recipient.
Businesses must be at least 51% owned and controlled by women, non-binary individuals, or trans women. The business must be for-profit, operating in Canada for a minimum of 2 years, with annual revenue of $50,000+ CAD, and have its headquarters in Canada.
Since 2012, BMO has recognized the achievements of over 265 women through the broader Celebrating Women Program. The grant program, created in 2020 during the pandemic, continues to empower women entrepreneurs across Canada.
