The Association québécoise de voile adaptée (AQVA) is dedicated to making sailing accessible to everyone, regardless of physical or sensory disabilities. Our mission is to provide the necessary resources and specialized equipment so that individuals with limited mobility can experience the joys of sailing in an inclusive and supportive environment. AQVA offers a tailored sailing experience with a focus on safety, accessibility, and enjoyment for all. Our adapted sailing sessions are open to everyone, regardless of prior experience. Participants benefit from specialized equipment, attentive instructors, and methods of safe transfer, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment on the water.Programs and Activities
- Recreational Sailing Outings: Open to all, these outings allow newcomers and seasoned sailors to enjoy Lake Saint-Louis in a safe and adapted setting.
- Group Excursions: Tailored for organizations, schools, and day camps, these sessions offer group sailing experiences led by qualified instructors.
- Learning Programs: AQVA provides two main learning paths: "Learn to Sail" to become an independent sailor, and "Race Training" for those interested in competitive sailing.
- Social Activities: A variety of social events bring members together, encouraging camaraderie and the sharing of experiences.
