Access Credit Network
What is Access Credit Network?
Access Credit Network is a microcredit organization that actively contributes to the economic and human development of the East Bas-Saint-Laurent community. By providing technical support, close accompaniment, and financial resources, Access Credit Network empowers entrepreneurs who have limited access to conventional financial services. The aim is to help people turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality and to stimulate regional growth.
Human-Centered Microcredit
Quebec's approach to microcredit is original, innovative, and above all, human. Unlike traditional perceptions of microcredit associated with developing countries, Quebec microcredit—also known as community credit—targets both the economic and social needs of people. Access Credit Network supports individuals with entrepreneurial ideas, aiming to contribute to their region’s growth and to help them establish their businesses. Whether you are at the idea stage, starting up, or expanding, the team assists you technically, financially, and with close personal support.
The Social and Economic Role of Microcredit
Microcredit, from its beginnings in Quebec, has always pursued ambitious social and economic objectives. It enables people to realize their entrepreneurial projects, create and sustain quality jobs, and meet the economic, social, and cultural needs of the community. It’s especially valuable for those who face barriers in accessing traditional financial institutions, allowing them to fund individual, collective, or self-employment ventures, and contributing to the revitalization of the region.
Our Territory: Serving Eastern Bas-Saint-Laurent
Access Credit Network operates within the MRCs of La Matanie, La Matapédia, La Mitis, and Rimouski-Neigette in Eastern Bas-Saint-Laurent. In collaboration with other financial partners, the organization provides personalized support, working hand-in-hand with entrepreneurs to build the financial structures needed for their projects.
The Power of the Network
Access Credit Network is a proud member of the MicroEntreprendre Network, a leading voice for entrepreneurial microcredit in Quebec. Founded in 2000, the network is a key tool for economic development and poverty reduction, especially for entrepreneurs who cannot access traditional bank loans or standardized government programs. The strength of the network lies in 20 members across 17 regions, providing entrepreneurs with close support and access to entrepreneurial microcredit.
