What else should I know about 100°?

100° is a province-wide community and funding initiative created within the transition from Québec en Forme to the non-profit organization M361. Its purpose is to mobilize and support actors who implement projects that improve community health, with a strong focus on healthy eating, active lifestyles, environmental health and inclusive public spaces across Québec.

Role of 100° in the funding ecosystem

100° manages multiple calls for projects on behalf of government departments and foundations. Funding is granted through time-limited calls for applications, each built around a specific theme, such as healthy and local food in schools, links between youth and the biofood sector, or healthier school and municipal environments. Only projects submitted within the defined calendar are eligible to receive financial support.
As an intermediary, 100° designs the funding strategy with its partners, promotes the calls, coordinates application intake, participates in the assessment of proposals and distributes funds to selected beneficiaries. To date, the initiative reports millions of dollars granted to local projects, including a major envelope of $1.5M offered to primary and secondary public schools in Québec within the Stratégie nationale d’achat d’aliments québécois.

Supported sectors and target applicants

The programs administered by 100° primarily target organizations registered in the Québec enterprise register, such as non-profits, schools, municipalities, early childhood centres and cooperatives. Funded initiatives include school teaching gardens, food security projects, shared fridges, outdoor classrooms, intergenerational parks, community greenhouses, collective kitchens and other structurally impactful local projects.

Complementary support: content, ambassadors and training

Beyond direct financial assistance, 100° offers a large content hub of articles, case studies and practical guides, as well as webinars, regional events and online courses hosted on its learning platform. Ambassadors located across Québec share their expertise with project leaders, helping them design, finance and implement initiatives that strengthen the health and well-being of their communities.

Publics served and overall impact

By connecting funders, practitioners and local leaders, 100° helps scale up innovative solutions in schools, childcare settings, municipalities and community organizations. Its combined offer of grants, training and networking contributes to deploying the Quebec government’s preventive health policy and to fostering healthier, more resilient communities throughout the province.
