Overview

Projects can receive up to $250,000 to address plastic waste and pollution in Canada. Eligible activities include capturing and removing plastic pollution, preventing plastic leakage, and advancing citizen science capacity building.

Activities funded

Deploying and evaluating innovative solutions to capture and remove plastic pollution in freshwater, marine, and terrestrial environments.
Targeting plastic leakage points and problematic or commonly littered items to reduce plastic pollution release.
Advancing citizen science initiatives related to the lifecycle of plastics, plastic pollution, and plastic pollution removal.
