Overview
Projects can receive up to $250,000 to address plastic waste and pollution in Canada. Eligible activities include capturing and removing plastic pollution, preventing plastic leakage, and advancing citizen science capacity building.
Activities funded
- Deploying and evaluating innovative solutions to capture and remove plastic pollution in freshwater, marine, and terrestrial environments.
- Targeting plastic leakage points and problematic or commonly littered items to reduce plastic pollution release.
- Advancing citizen science initiatives related to the lifecycle of plastics, plastic pollution, and plastic pollution removal.
