Who is eligible?
- Canadian entrepreneurs, startups, and small business owners.
- For-profit, not-for-profit, and social enterprises.
- Employees of an eligible business with written permission from the owner, president, or chief executive officer.
- Entrants must be residents of Canada who have reached the legal age of majority in their province or territory of residence.
Who is not eligible
- Residents of Quebec, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut are not eligible.
- Employees, representatives, contractors, or agents of the Sponsor, its affiliates, advertising/promotion agencies, and other individuals or entities involved in the promotion are not eligible.

- A thought-out plan for using the grant money.
- The amount of votes received for shortlisted companies.
How to apply
- Complete the online application for a free business insurance quote, unless you are already a Zensurance client.
- Submit the grant application form and mandatory submission form on the Zensurance Small Business Grant webpage.
- Follow Zensurance on one social media channel.
Processing and Agreement
- A shortlist of six businesses will be selected on or before September 16, 2026.
- Shortlisted businesses must submit additional content on or before September 18, 2026, including another video and a short write-up for promotional materials.
- The public may vote on the six finalists from September 22 to 29, 2026, and the one $10,000 grant recipient will be announced on October 1, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET.
- Grant recipients must respond within 7 days of being contacted and review, sign, and return any required agreements, including waivers, releases, liability and indemnity agreements, and intellectual property agreements.
- Grant recipients must claim the grant money within 30 days of the announcement.
