POLICY 17-3 - Young Citizens Foundation Scholarship Award (2016)

Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Cadets from the Sea, Army, and Air elements
  • Cadets in Canada seeking post-secondary studies

Eligible expenses

  • Tuition fees for the entrance year at a qualifying post-secondary institution

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Any costs other than first-year tuition fees
  • Use of the award in a later entrance year

How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the application
    • Fill out the electronic application form.
    • Or use the printable version of the form.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Submit the electronic form online, or send the printable form by email or by Canada Post.
    • Email submissions go to national@armycadetleague.ca.
    • Mail submissions go to the Executive Assistant (YCF Scholarship), The Army Cadet League of Canada, 201-1505 Laperriere Ave, Ottawa, ON, K1Z 7T1.
  • Step 3: Receive confirmation
    • Wait for the confirmation receipt sent by email within 5 days after receipt.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by a national selection committee.
  • Selections are completed by May 15 each year.
  • Applicants are notified by email after submission, and winners are notified by May 15.
  • The award is subject to a partnership agreement between the Foundation and the Army Cadet League of Canada.
