Young Canada Works audience and guidance updated
The Students and graduates page now describes Young Canada Works as part of the Government of Canada’s modernized Youth Employment and Skills Strategy and emphasizes support for young people facing barriers to employment. Who is eligible?
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or people with refugee status in Canada.
- People legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid social insurance number.
- People between 16 and 30 years of age inclusively at the start of employment.
- College or university graduates (certificate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate).
Eligible expenses
- Wage subsidies for eligible internship employment costs.
- Transportation and en route accommodation for interns who relocate more than 125 km in Canada.
- Transportation and partial accommodation for international museology internships.
- Reasonable workplace accommodation for participants with disabilities, up to $3,000 per participant.

Processing and Agreement
