Who is eligible?

  • Students attending or planning to attend university, college, technical school, institute of technology, trades program, or flight school.

Who is not eligible

  • Applicants who are not Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
  • Applicants who do not live in the eligible Yellowknife-area communities.
  • Applicants over 25 who are not members in good standing of Yellowknife Elks Lodge #314.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the application
    • Download and fill out the application form.
    • Prepare the required essay, transcripts, references, and photograph.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Mail the completed application to Yellowknife Elks Lodge #314 in Yellowknife, NT.
    • Or email the completed application to the address provided by the program.
  • Step 3: Meet the deadline
    • Ensure the application is submitted by July 7, 2025.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission and must be received by the stated deadline.
  • Recipients must provide first-semester marks and proof of second-semester acceptance to receive the second payment.
  • If required marks and acceptance are not received by February 28, 2026, the second installment is forfeited.
