Eureka Xecs Cluster - electronic components and systems call for proposals 6

Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Applicants can build international consortia with industry, SMEs, RTOs and academia.
  • All companies established in Türkiye can apply to the programme.
  • Applicant companies in Singapore must be locally owned and the lead applicant should be a business entity that is registered/incorporated and operating in Singapore.
  • Funding is available to registered companies and SMEs as per South African definition.
  • The consortium must include at least one company for applications from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Portugal, and Ireland.

Who is not eligible

  • Companies with more than 2,000 full-time equivalent employees are not eligible for funding but can self-fund their project costs.
  • Research organisations and universities are not eligible for funding in France, but can participate as subcontractors.
  • University or research organisations are not eligible to receive regional funding in Belgium (Wallonia), but they may participate as subcontractors.
  • Large companies are not eligible for funding under this scheme in Portugal.
  • High-Potential Start-Ups in Ireland are ineligible for funding in a Eureka project.

Selection criteria

  • For applications from Belgium (Wallonia), valorisation in Wallonia is a regional evaluation criterion.
  • For applications from Canada, Canadian SME participation will be evaluated based on providing benefits to Canada.
  • For applications from France, the project and the French firm’s technical and financial capacity to carry it through must be assessed by Bpifrance.
  • For applications from Türkiye, project proposals are evaluated according to industrial R&D content, technology level and innovative aspect; eligibility of the project plan and enterprise infrastructure; and the turnover of the project outputs to economic benefit and national benefit.
  • For applications from the United Kingdom, Innovate UK takes a portfolio approach in funding decisions post-labelling process.

Processing and Agreement

  • Projects can begin as of September 2027, expected.
  • For applications from Belgium (Wallonia), the Walloon company must submit an application in French via the regional ONTIME platform on the same day that they submit the Cluster Full project proposal (FPP) application.
  • For applications from Canada, Canadian participants are strongly encouraged to contact their IRAP representative prior to filing an application.
  • For applications from France, you must contact your Chargé(e) d’Affaires Innovation in your Bpifrance Regional Office before applying.
  • For applications from Singapore, companies must submit an application on the Business Grant Portal.
  • For applications from Türkiye, project applications are submitted to TÜBİTAK via the PRODİS.

Additional information

  • The call opens on 23 June 2026 and closes on 21 January 2027 for project outline submission.
  • Applicants are encouraged to contact their National Funding Body representative as early as possible before applying.
  • A matchmaking event will take place on 6 and 7 October 2026 in Vienna.
