Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • A qualified donee such as a registered charity, including a registered national arts service organization
  • A registered Amateur Athletic association or journalism organization
  • A registered municipality or municipal or public body performing a function of government in Canada
  • A non-profit organization administered by an active board of directors
  • A community group, club, or business

Eligible geographic areas

  • The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc
  • Neighbouring communities, including surrounding First Nations communities

Selection criteria

  • Applications are reviewed based on their merit.
  • Organizations must demonstrate a strong and committed board, fiscal responsibility, and effective management.
  • Projects must primarily benefit the residents of the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc and its neighbouring communities.
  • For projects located outside of the Municipality, applicants should demonstrate how the project will also benefit the people of Strathroy-Caradoc.
  • Pilot or demonstration projects must include provision for evaluation and a realistic plan for financial viability beyond the pilot stage.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applicants will be informed of the Board’s decision following the board meeting after each intake deadline, this process may take up to 4-8 weeks.
  • Once an application is approved, an agreement must be signed outlining the scope of work associated with the project and confirming the contribution amount from the Foundation before the Community Grant payment can be received.
  • Upon signing the agreement, payment will be made via cheque.
  • In the case of larger amounts and projects, funds may be distributed on an agreed upon payment schedule at the discretion of the Foundation.
  • The applicant shall forward a completion report including Financial Reports, Narrative Reports, and Documentation of Artistic Outputs within 30 days of the event or project completion.
