How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application
    • Complete the Funding Application Form.
    • Prepare the required project summary, organization details, project description, budget, and recognition information.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Send the submission to Cynthia Buck, WBF Envirofund Chairperson, at cbuck@vailresorts.com.
    • Applications will be due in April 2027.
  • Step 3: Application review and decision
    • The Executive Director reviews applications and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.
    • The Selection Committee reviews proposals for approval.
  • Step 4: Notification and agreement
    • Applicants are notified by phone or mail after the Board meeting.
    • Successful applicants sign a Grant Recipient Letter of Agreement.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the Foundation’s Environmental Fund Selection Committee for approval.
  • The Executive Director makes recommendations to the Board of Directors after the deadline.
  • They aim to respond back to all applicants by early June 2026 in time for summer projects to proceed.
  • Successful recipients must sign a Grant Recipient Letter of Agreement.
  • Applicants are notified by phone or mail after the Board decision.

  • Applications are accepted twice per year.
  • Successful applicants must sign a Grant Recipient Letter of Agreement.
  • Follow-up reports are required after project completion.
  • Project completion summaries must be submitted before future applications from the same organization are considered.
