Who is eligible?

  • Non-profit, community-based organizations.
  • Applicants located in or providing services to the South Huron community.
  • Applicants outside the Municipality of South Huron if they can demonstrate a clear benefit to the South Huron community.
  • Non-charitable organizations as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency if they include a formalized and documented written agreement with a registered charitable organization.

Eligible expenses

  • Facility rentals, including in-kind rentals based on facility availability.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Joint capital projects with the Municipality.

How to apply

  • Review the application information on the Foundation's website.
  • Contact the Executive Director before proceeding with an application.

Processing and Agreement

  • A community volunteer committee evaluates applications and makes recommendations to the Foundation Board.
  • The Foundation Board makes the final decision.

Additional information

  • Council will not provide letters of support to community groups applying to the Vitality Fund.
