Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Community foundations
  • Members of the CFC network

Eligible geographic areas

  • Canada

Selection criteria

  • Preference for smaller foundations.
  • Preference for first-time Vital Signs participants.
  • Preference for projects focused on youth, seniors, the Sustainable Development Goals, or relationships with Indigenous-led and Black-led organizations.
  • Geographic distribution across Canada is considered.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application
    • Describe how the Vital Conversation will bring people together.
    • Explain how it supports learning and reflects diversity, inclusion, and equity.
  • Step 2: Complete the application form
    • Fill out the online program application form.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Submit the completed form by the stated deadline.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by Community Foundations of Canada.
  • Funding is allocated based on the program’s stated preferences and geographic distribution.
  • Applicants are notified of the result after review.
  • Selected foundations receive payment after approval.

Additional information

  • Priority is given to smaller foundations and first-time Vital Signs participants.
  • Priority also goes to projects engaging youth, seniors, SDG-related topics, or Indigenous-led and Black-led organizations.
