Who is eligible?
- Currently serving members of the Royal Canadian Navy.
- Currently serving CAF members in direct support of the RCN.
- Regular Force members.
- Reserve Force members.
Who is not eligible
- Individuals who are not currently serving members of the RCN or eligible CAF personnel.
- Applicants not submitted through the RCN chain of command.
Processing and Agreement
- Nominations are reviewed after being submitted through the RCN chain of command.
- The top nominations are forwarded to the RCNBF Award Committee.
- The award is then adjudicated and the successful nominee is selected.
- The recipient may receive the award during the Battle of the Atlantic commemoration.
Additional information
- Nominations are submitted through the Royal Canadian Navy chain of command for endorsement.
- No submissions are received directly by the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund.
- The recipient donates the $5,000 prize to a qualified donee of their choice.
- If possible, the award is presented during the Battle of the Atlantic commemoration.
