  • Applicants without the required farm registration or registered business status
  • Farms not actively operating during the program year
  • Veterinary practices not participating in the Livestock Health Services Program
  • Applicants without required workplace injury coverage

Eligible expenses

  • Student wages covered through the program wage subsidy
  • Pre-approved travel and accommodation support for remote veterinary practice volunteering
  • Training course fees for required pre-employment training

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Travel expenses not pre-approved for remote veterinary clinic volunteering
  • Operating expenses and existing staff salaries
  • Wages paid to the student outside the program activity period

Processing and Agreement

  • Claims are submitted after the signed agreement is received and reviewed.
