Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Students in full-time post-secondary programs
  • Childhood cancer survivors and siblings of children diagnosed with childhood cancer

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application
    • Complete the application form.
    • Sign the Applicant’s Consent to Release Information.
    • Prepare the required supporting documents.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Send the completed package by regular mail, fax, or email to NOFCC.
    • Make sure the package is post-marked by the deadline.
  • Step 3: Provide proof of enrollment if selected
    • Submit proof of enrollment by August 31 if requested.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the NOFCC Selection Committee.
  • Successful recipients are announced by the end of September each year.
  • Selected applicants are informed of presentation arrangements.
  • For successive applications, only a new application form and proof of registration are required.

Additional information

  • An applicant can receive the bursary only once during post-secondary education.
  • If not selected, the applicant may apply again in later years.
  • Successful recipients are notified by the end of September each year.
  • Application material is not returned to applicants.
