How to apply

  • Determine if your project is eligible by reviewing the eligibility criteria.
  • Complete the Application Workbook.
  • Submit a completed Application Workbook by email to HAF@Winnipeg.ca with the subject line “Vacant Building Grant.”

Processing and Agreement

  • Eligible projects will be scored using a point system to determine potential program support.
  • The City may ask for more information to support the evaluation of the proposal.
  • Successful applicants will receive a Conditional Approval Letter stating the maximum grant amount and any conditions that must be met before funding is released.
  • The grant recipient will enter into a Grant Agreement with the City of Winnipeg.
