How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the application
    • Read the criteria carefully.

  • Step 2: Sign the commitment form
    • Sign the commitment form included with the application.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Send the completed application to Youth United, United Way Winnipeg, 580 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1C7.
    • Submit by email to youthunited@unitedwaywinnipeg.ca or by fax to (204) 453-6198.
  • Step 4: Confirm receipt and presentation date
    • Contact the program team if you do not receive a response after submitting.
    • Attend the closest application review date and ensure at least one group member presents the proposal.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by Youth United volunteers to confirm they fit the criteria.
  • The project team leader is contacted with questions and to confirm attendance at the closest application review date.
  • If funding is approved, funds are sent through the sponsoring school or community organization.
  • A detailed project report and copies of receipts must be submitted within one month after project completion.
  • Unused funds must be returned to United Way Winnipeg.

Additional information

  • At least one group member must present the proposal at a group presentation.
  • Applicants should keep a copy of the completed form for their records.
