• Not-for-profit charitable organizations
• Community-based organizations
• Organizations serving Hastings County and/or Prince Edward County
• Teams of two or more organizations applying jointly for collaboration funding

Who is not eligible

• For-profit organizations
• Organizations primarily political in nature
• Foundations, unions, and professional associations
• Primarily fundraising organizations
• Educational institutions, hospitals, and medical treatment programs

Eligible expenses

• Consultant, mentor, and facilitator fees
• Training materials and resources
• Meeting expenses for staff, board, or volunteers
• Travel and accommodation costs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• For-profit organizations
• Programs advancing religion in United Way-funded services
• Primarily political organizations
• Foundations, unions, professional associations, and primarily fundraising organizations
• Arts, medical research, hospitals, medical treatment programs, and educational institutions
• Major capital equipment, new buildings, renovations, and unrelated office equipment or furniture

• Prince Edward County

• Alignment with the organization’s strategic priorities and guiding principles.
• Demonstrated community benefit for residents served.
• Ability to increase efficiency, quality, or quantity of services and operations.
• Evidence of a sustainable and well-defined collaboration plan.
• Defined goals, objectives, and measurable outcomes.

• Step 1: Create or access an e-CImpact account
  • Use existing login details if already funded by United Way HPE.
  • Create an account if applying for the first time.
• Step 2: Complete the online pre-qualification
  • Provide the required organizational information as part of the application.
  • Ensure the organization meets the stated criteria before continuing.
• Step 3: Prepare the application
  • Complete the online application for the relevant grant stream.
  • Attach the required supporting information and budget.
• Step 4: Submit through e-CImpact
  • Send the application electronically through the e-CImpact online system.
  • Submit before available funds are fully allocated.

• Applications are reviewed after submission to determine whether the project can be funded.
• Funding is not guaranteed, even if an application meets the eligibility guidelines.
• The program may be oversubscribed, so not all requests can be approved.

• Applicants must complete a pre-qualification as part of the online application.
• Agencies may apply only once per year within either granting stream.
• An organization that applies for the Organizational Capacity Grant may still be listed as a partner on a Collaboration Grant application.
• Applications remain open until all available funds are allocated.
