This funding provides up to $500 for professional development costs. It supports leadership capacity-building opportunities for senior staff and volunteers to improve organizational excellence, innovation, HR management, and fiscal management.
Activities funded
- Professional development opportunities for organizational leaders (including senior staff and volunteers).
- Leadership training focused on innovation in service delivery and service development.
- Professional development focused on human resource management.
- Professional development focused on organizational excellence.

Documents Needed
Eligibility
- The applicant must be an eligible organization supported by United Way Central Alberta.
- The professional development opportunity must build leadership capacity for organizational leaders (including senior staff and volunteers).
- The professional development must strengthen leadership skills and innovation related to service delivery and development, human resource management, organizational excellence, or fiscal management.
- The activity must align with at least one of the three priorities: basic needs, mental health services access, or creating positive futures.

Selection criteria
Processing and Agreement
- Applicants receive a written decision within 30 days of receipt of the application and supporting documents.
Additional information
- Organizations can receive this support once per fiscal period (April to March).
- Applicants will be notified of the decision in writing within 30 days of submitting an application with supporting documents.
- Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
- Applicants may be qualified or non-qualified donees.
