This funding provides up to $500 for professional development costs. It supports leadership capacity-building opportunities for senior staff and volunteers to improve organizational excellence, innovation, HR management, and fiscal management.

Activities funded

  • Professional development opportunities for organizational leaders (including senior staff and volunteers).
  • Leadership training focused on innovation in service delivery and service development.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be an eligible organization supported by United Way Central Alberta.
  • The professional development opportunity must build leadership capacity for organizational leaders (including senior staff and volunteers).
  • The professional development must strengthen leadership skills and innovation related to service delivery and development, human resource management, organizational excellence, or fiscal management.
  • The activity must align with at least one of the three priorities: basic needs, mental health services access, or creating positive futures.

Selection criteria

Processing and Agreement

  • Applicants receive a written decision within 30 days of receipt of the application and supporting documents.

Additional information

  • Organizations can receive this support once per fiscal period (April to March).
  • Applicants will be notified of the decision in writing within 30 days of submitting an application with supporting documents.
  • Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
  • Applicants may be qualified or non-qualified donees.
