Who is eligible?

• Local community organizations
• Sports clubs and teams
• Cultural and recreational groups

Who is not eligible

• Organizations outside of Medicine Hat
• Commercial enterprises unrelated to community activities
• Individuals without organizational support
• Activities not related to community, sports, or recreation

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Expenses unrelated to the approved event or activity
• Costs for activities outside Medicine Hat
• Personal equipment or expenses not directly linked to the event
• Expenditures incurred before the application approval
• Costs associated with non-community or commercial activities

Eligible geographic areas

• Alignment of the event with community recreation and leisure goals
• Potential positive impact on local community participation
• Necessity and feasibility of the project
• Potential for promoting health and community spirit

• Applications are reviewed by the committee approximately one month after the deadline.
• Applicants will be notified of decisions via email or direct contact.
• Funding agreements are issued once approval is confirmed.
• Funds are disbursed according to the conditions outlined in the agreement, often upon completion of the event or activity.
• Final reports and proof of expenses may be required for accountability and evaluation.
