How to apply

Verify organizational eligibility

Confirm your organization is a Canadian registered charity with a valid CRA number
Ensure programming will be delivered in Canada
Verify your organization has strong understanding of Canadian Armed Forces serving members, Veterans and their families

Align project with fund priorities

Align your project with one or more priority themes: mental health and wellbeing, military and Veteran families (including children and youth), or programs leveraging Military Family Resource Centres
Ensure the program directly supports serving members, Veterans or their families
Develop clear objectives and a measurement plan

Prepare safeguarding and evidence documentation

Develop a safeguarding policy that includes background checks for staff working with vulnerable populations
Implement trauma-informed practices in program delivery
Prepare evidence-based program documentation

Prepare financial documentation

Create a detailed budget with supporting financial documents
Include annual report and previous funding application status
