Overview

This program offers micro-funding of up to $15,000 to support arts and culture projects that highlight English-language arts and artists in Québec. Supported activities are those that strengthen a sense of belonging and build bridges between Québec’s English-speaking minority and Francophone majority through increased cooperation and inter-community appreciation.

Eligibility

  • The project must use arts and culture to strengthen the English-language community’s sense of belonging in Québec.
  • The project must build bridges between Anglophone and Francophone communities through increased cooperation and appreciation.
  • Artist collectives may apply under the Artist category if they have a proven history of collaboration.
  • The applicant must submit the application before the deadline.

  • Applicants seeking to serve as jurors in the same round in which they have an application under consideration.

Selection criteria

  • Evaluation by a blind jury (reducing bias through anonymization)
  • Assessment of the project’s intrinsic value (rather than connections or “name-dropping”)
  • Projects rated highest by discipline-specific juries forwarded to a final jury

How to apply

  • Step 1: Register
    • Complete an initial registration form.
  • Step 2: Prepare application
    • Work within a personalized application folder.
    • Anonymize the application according to the program guidelines (blind jury process).
  • Step 3: Submit before deadline
    • Ensure the application is submitted before the stated deadline (late submissions are not admissible).

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are checked for completeness and eligibility.
  • Valid applications are sent to discipline-specific pod juries for initial adjudication.
  • Top-rated applications advance to a final jury for funding decisions.
  • Results are communicated to all applicants (regardless of outcome).
