Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Qualified Veterans

Who is not eligible

  • Veterans whose physical or mental health problem resulted primarily from service in the CAF on or before April 1, 1947, or from service in the Korean War
  • Veterans whose physical or mental health problem was caused by a willful self-inflicted injury or improper conduct
  • Serving CAF members who have not yet released

Eligible expenses

  • Dental, audiology, or vision services

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • VAC does not cover ambulance services needed as a result of an accident when services are covered by a 3rd party.
