Who is eligible?
- Indigenous individuals and sole proprietors working in screen-based content
- Indigenous-controlled corporations registered as corporations with a head office in Canada
Who is not eligible
- Employees from organizations whose main purpose is industry support, including training, funding, and/or festival activities, are not eligible to apply
- Applicants cannot apply as a Production Company and an Individual in separate applications
Eligible expenses
- Air travel in economy class
- Ground transportation, mileage at $0.55/km for personal vehicles only up to a maximum of $400, and one checked baggage fee
- Event registration
- Accommodation up to $1,650 for 6 nights in a standard room
- Per diem up to $100 per day for a maximum of 6 days, child care costs up to $100 per day for a maximum of 6 days, and other costs associated with the proposed travel with rationale
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Costs associated with travelling for post-secondary courses
- Development, production and post production related travel costs
- Travel costs covered in other budgets submitted to ISO Funding Programs
- Reimbursements for travel costs incurred before the submission date, except airfare cost
- The same portion of the proposed travel cannot be funded through another organization, including band offices and arts councils

- Creative Vision & Innovation (/10): innovation of new forms or perspectives, contribution to new storytelling perspectives, and distinctiveness and timeliness
- Feasibility & Execution (/25): team experience, skills and leadership, capacity gaps, budget alignment with project scope, and realistic timeline and project readiness
- Impact, Reach & Contribution (/15): contribution to Indigenous cultural life, career trajectory, audience accessibility and reach pathways, industry or market relevance, and screen sector or job creation

Processing and Agreement
- The ISO Program Coordinator and Program Manager conduct an initial review for eligibility and missing documentation
- If additional information is needed, applicants are given a maximum of 5 business days to submit outstanding documents
- Applications that pass administrative review move to internal assessment, where the Program Manager and two ISO staff members review and recommend or do not recommend funding
- Successful applicants receive a contribution agreement to review, sign, and return, plus an electronic funds authorization form
- Payment is processed within one month of successfully submitting all necessary documentation
- A final report is required within three months following project completion and must be approved by the ISO
