Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • College students
  • University students
  • Graduate students
  • Postdoctoral fellows
  • Research professionals

Who is not eligible

  • Applicants whose project is not relevant to the VSRN mandate
  • Applicants without a VSRN member supervisor
  • Candidates submitting more than one application per competition
  • Students who have already received two awards in the same fiscal year
  • Applicants combining this award with the Recruitment Scholarship during the same period

How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the electronic form
    • Fill in Sections 1 to 3 on the competition homepage.
  • Step 2: Prepare supporting documents
    • Combine the required documents into a single PDF.
    • Attach the budget estimate, supervision form or letter of acceptance, FRQ abridged CV, and research director support letter.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Upload the completed form and single PDF attachment through the online application system before the training starts.
  • Step 4: Await confirmation and payment
    • Watch for the submission confirmation email.
    • If approved, payment is issued after the training once receipts and administrative information are received.

  • Applications are reviewed and ranked based on merit.
  • Evaluation considers research excellence, training relevance, and intersectoral potential.
  • Applicants receive an email confirming submission.
  • Successful candidates are paid after the training once receipts and required information are received.
