Overview of the Transal — Consortium TIC program
The Transal – Consortium TIC grant offers up to 15% reimbursement on professional fees for external technical resources to assist Quebec SMEs in aluminum transformation or equipment manufacturing with their digital transition, including activities like programming interfaces and automating data processing. Eligible projects must have a maximum cost of $30,000 at the regular rate.
Financing terms and conditions
- Reimbursement of 15% on professional fees for external technical resources aimed at accelerating digital transition.
- 20% reduction on professional fees for external technical resources.

- Programming of interfaces and software bridges.
- Software parameterization.
- Automatic calculation of performance measures.

Eligibility criteria of the Transal — Consortium TIC program
- The project cost must be equal to or less than $30,000 at the regular rate.
- The applicant must be a Quebec-based SME.
- The applicant must be in the field of aluminum transformation or a supplier, where 10% of metal purchases are aluminum.

Preparation for membership in the consortiums
- Choose a membership plan for the consortium that corresponds to your project: $125, $250, or $500.
- Calculate the potential savings based on the price paid by the member company: $8,000, $16,000, or $24,000.

Preparation of the project submission
Gather the documents describing the project, such as interface programming, software configuration, and process automation to demonstrate the project’s suitability.

- A membership fee is required to join the consortium, which varies depending on the level of membership selected (e.g., $125, $250, $500).
- Members of the consortium benefit from reduced pricing on project costs, paying $8,000, $16,000, or $24,000 instead of the regular rates of $10,000, $20,000, or $30,000.
