- Obtain the “Demande de bourse de formation en gériatrie” form from the Société québécoise de gériatrie.
- Step 2: Complete and sign the form
- Fill in the required applicant and training details.
- Have the form signed by your director.
- Step 3: Prepare supporting documents
- Attach the program or internship description.
- Include a half-page explanation of the link between the training and geriatric practice.
- Step 4: Submit to the SQG
- Return the completed package to the Société québécoise de gériatrie before the event.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis
- Funding decisions are made by the SQG executive on recommendation of the relevant program director
- Approved recipients must provide the required post-scholarship deliverable

- Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Only one scholarship per eligible resident per year is allowed.
- A T4A slip is issued for scholarships over $500.
- First-time applicants may be given priority if demand exceeds available funds.
