Who is eligible?

  • Property owners
  • Assessed property owners
  • Tenants with owner consent
  • Commercial, mixed-use, and multi-residential property owners
  • Developers of eligible employment area and hotel projects

Who is not eligible

  • Owner-occupied residential properties
  • Properties in tax arrears or with outstanding municipal bills
  • Applicants in default of Township bylaws
  • Applicants involved in ongoing litigation with the Township
  • Excluded uses such as aggregate transfer sites, asphalt plants, motor vehicle sales and service, self-storage, and outside storage

How to apply

  • Step 1: Pre-consultation
    • Meet with Township staff before applying.
    • Confirm the required documents and program fit.
  • Step 2: Prepare application
    • Complete the application form.
    • Attach the site plan, rationale, and supporting materials.
    • Include owner authorization if an agent is applying.
  • Step 3: Submit application
    • Submit the complete application to the Township Planning Division.
    • Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Step 4: Review and decision
    • The application is screened and reviewed by the Evaluation Committee.
    • Council makes the final decision and the applicant is notified in writing.
  • Step 5: Agreement and payment
    • If approved, sign any required agreement.
    • Submit proof of costs for reimbursement after the work is completed.

  • The Committee makes recommendations to Council for final decision.
  • Applicants are notified in writing of Council’s decision.
  • If approved, a legal agreement may be required.
  • Proof of costs and a site visit may be required before payment.
