Who is eligible?
- Community groups and organizations requesting funding support from the Township
- Volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organizations
- Organizations or groups that provide services to residents of Clearview Township
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Requests to waive or reduce user fees and rental rates for the use of Township services and facilities
- Fundraising events

Selection criteria
- Applications are considered on merit.
- Committee recommendations are made relative to the Council approved grant budget.
- The Committee and Council strive to provide funding to as many groups as possible, while considering budget constraints and the number of applicants.
How to apply
- Obtain the application form electronically on the Township website or request a hard copy from the community group.
- Submit the completed application form on or before the intake deadline.
- Include all supporting documentation with the application.
- Submit only one application per intake period.
Processing and Agreement
- The Community Assistance Grant & Sponsorship Committee reviews applications after the intake deadline.
- The Committee makes a recommendation to Council on which community groups should receive funding and the amount, relative to the Council approved grant budget.
- After Council approval, the Township notifies applicants whether they were successful or not and provides cheques to approved applicants.
- Recipients must submit a final report describing how the funds were used and providing an overview of the initiative and its success.
- Final reports not received by the deadline established by the Township could affect future funding eligibility.
Additional information
- Applications are accepted only twice a year, during the First Intake in February and the Second Intake in September.
- Only complete grant requests submitted on the prescribed application form during an intake period are reviewed.
- Final reports are required after funding is received and must be submitted before future funding will be considered.
