Eligibility

Who is eligible?

Who is not eligible

  • For-profit organizations
  • Projects outside the Town of Devon corporate boundaries
  • Projects led by other levels of government for health or education responsibilities

Eligible expenses

  • Capital expenditures related to the project
  • Operating expenditures related to the project
  • In-kind support such as event supplies, facility rentals, or staff support

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Work done or materials purchased before approval
  • Events or projects that are the responsibility of other levels of government, such as health or education

How to apply

    • Email the application to grants@devon.ca with the subject title COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM.
    • Or deliver it in person to the Town of Devon Office, Attention: Community Grant Program.
  • Step 4: Await decision
    • Applications are reviewed through the Town’s annual budget process.
    • Applicants are contacted with Council’s decision.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by an administrative group for eligibility and completeness
  • Recommendations are submitted to Town Council during the annual budget process
  • Town Council makes the final funding decision
  • Applicants are notified of the decision, and successful applicants receive a Letter of Agreement

Additional information

  • Applicants must review the Community Grant Program policy before applying.
  • Only one application per organization is considered each calendar year.
  • A Letter of Agreement is required if approved.
  • A final report is mandatory within 90 days after project completion.
