Who is eligible?

• Saskatchewan musicians
• Bands and music groups supported by Creative Saskatchewan
• Applicants from the music sector

Who is not eligible

• Political organizations or parties
• Religious organizations
• Organizations that discriminate on protected grounds
• Organizations advocating political or religious beliefs
• Applicants whose activities are already funded by SK Arts or SaskCulture

Eligible expenses

• Booking fees and management commissions
• Marketing expenses linked to the tour
• Travel, accommodations, and per diems for Saskatchewan residents
• Performance fees and crew fees
• Tour manager fees and related phone costs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Expenses on non-travel days and non-working days
• Rehearsal expenses for in-house, stakeholder, or regularly hired musicians
• Residencies and regular repeated engagements at the same venue
• Showcase performances counted as confirmed tour dates
• Projects without commercial intent as the main purpose

• Saskatchewan
• Canada
• International locations

• Four bonus points are awarded if you or the majority of your company owners, band stakeholder members, or collective members identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis), a person from a racialized group, a newcomer to Canada, someone who lives in a northern, rural, or small urban community greater than 50 KM outside of Regina or Saskatoon, a person with a disability or disabled, and/or LGBTQIA2S+.
• For companies, collectives, and music bands, a minimum 50% of the stakeholders must meet this criterion to receive the bonus points.

• Step 1:
  • Read the general and program-specific guidelines.
  • Review the assessment criteria and travel policy.
• Step 2:
  • Prepare the application in the Grant Management System.
  • Use the current budget template and travel itinerary template if travel is included.
  • Upload required supporting documents.
• Step 3:
  • Submit the final application through the online Grant Management System.
  • Ensure the application is complete before the deadline.
• Step 4:
  • Wait for the results by email and in the Grant Management System.

• Applications are first reviewed by Creative Saskatchewan staff for completeness and eligibility.
• Eligible applications are then assessed through the program’s review process or fast-tracked if eligible.
• Applicants receive results by email and in the Grant Management System.
• Approved applicants receive a Letter of Commitment that must be signed before funding is released.
• Final payment is issued after the project is complete and the final report is approved.

• Applicants can receive up to two Tour Support Grants per year.
• Applications that secure FACTOR or Musicaction funding may be fast tracked.
• Successful recipients must acknowledge Creative Saskatchewan on promotional materials and social media.
• Final reporting is required, along with follow-up reporting for approved projects.
