Who is eligible?

• Registered charities supporting Black and Indigenous communities
• Community groups and grassroots organizations applying with a trustee

Who is not eligible

• Organizations not focused on Black or Indigenous communities
• Commercial businesses or profit-driven enterprises
• Political parties or organizations involved in political activities
• Organizations outside the eligible regions or communities

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Activities outside community support or leadership development
• Expenses unrelated to community initiatives
• Funding for political or illegal activities
• Activities not aligned with community empowerment goals

Eligible geographic areas

• Alignment with community empowerment and social justice goals
• Potential to create meaningful impact in Black and Indigenous communities
• Clarity and feasibility of project plan
• Demonstrated capacity of the applicant to execute the project

• Applications are reviewed for eligibility and alignment with program goals.
• Applicants are notified of decisions within a specified timeframe.
• Approved applicants must sign a funding agreement before disbursal.
• Funding is disbursed following the signing of the agreement and upon submission of required documentation.
• Recipients are subject to reporting and accountability requirements as specified in the agreement.
