How to apply

  • Step 1: Pre-consultation
    • Call TEDC to arrange a pre-consultation.
    • Discuss whether the proposed project fits the fund’s goals and guidelines.
  • Step 2: Application preparation
    • Complete the application form available from the TEDC website.
    • Prepare the required supporting financial information.
    • Submit both parts of the application to TEDC by email.
  • Step 3: Review and decision
    • TEDC staff review the submission for completeness.
    • The MATS reviews completed applications and may request a presentation.
    • Recommended applications are sent to the TEDC Board for final approval.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the Municipal Accommodations Tax Subcommittee (MATS).
  • Applicants may be asked to present their project to the committee.
  • If recommended, applications are forwarded to the TEDC Board for final approval.
  • If more information is needed or the project is not recommended, TEDC will contact the applicant.
  • Approved applicants must enter into a legally binding agreement with TEDC.
