How to apply
- Contact your municipality to obtain the Tile Loan Application Form 6.
- Submit the completed form to your local municipality before starting any drainage work.
- If the property is in a territory of the province not organized as a municipality, submit the application directly to the MAAAO.
Processing and Agreement
- The municipal council reviews and approves the application when the property is in a municipality.
- After approval, the owner hires a licensed tile drainage contractor or completes the work themselves.
- The municipal drainage inspector inspects the work to confirm it matches the loan application description.
- The municipality prepares monthly loan documents and sends them to the MAAAO; after processing, the MAAAO pays the municipality, which distributes the funds.
- The municipality collects annual repayments and remits them to the MAAAO for the duration of the loan.

- Interest rate is fixed for the full 10-year term.
- The loan can be repaid in full at any time without penalty.
- Funding must not exceed 100% of eligible costs.
