Who is eligible?
- Living Atlantic Canadian visual artists
- Artists with professional recognition in the visual arts
- Artists working in genres normally collected and exhibited by public art galleries in Atlantic Canada
- Arts professionals who wish to nominate an artist

- Deceased artists
- Artists without a solo exhibition in the past five years
- Artists who do not meet the Atlantic Canada residence requirement

Processing and Agreement
- Applications and nominations are reviewed by a jury of three arts professionals.
- The jury includes Beaverbrook Art Gallery staff and representatives from two other Atlantic Canadian institutions.

- Winners are announced after the jury decision.
