  • Commercial entities or profit-driven businesses.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Activities not aligned with Catholic morals and teachings.
  • Organizations that do not operate within the Diocese of London.
  • Projects that do not address basic human needs such as food, medicine, housing, or education.
  • Activities primarily for commercial or profit-making purposes.

Selection criteria

  • Demonstration of how the project aligns with Catholic values and teachings.
  • Clear description of the project’s impact on those in need.
  • Organization’s capacity to manage and implement the project effectively.
  • Potential for sustainable benefits beyond the grant period.

How to apply

Send an email request including organization name, address, proposed grant use, amount requested, contact person’s name, phone, and email to popefrancisfund@dol.ca.Await approval of initial request to receive the final application form.Complete and submit the final application form before the February 28 deadline.Wait for funding decision by the end of March.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applicants are notified of the decision by the end of March.
  • Approved applicants receive a formal funding agreement outlining terms and conditions.
  • Funding is disbursed according to the agreement, with reporting obligations in place.
