  • Distinguished artistic practice over the last 10 years
  • Strength of the proposed new body of work
  • Professional artistic background and public presentation record
  • Assessment by an independent jury of arts professionals

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application package
    • Complete the cover page.
    • Prepare the CV, project abstract, support letter, bibliography, image list, and visual materials.
    • Include the required portrait photo.
  • Step 2: Assemble print and visual components
    • Prepare four complete sets of the six required print components.
    • Save digital images on one USB key in the required format.
  • Step 3: Send the submission by mail
    • Mail the full package to the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation in Saint John, New Brunswick.
    • Do not send applications by fax or email.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by an independent jury of arts professionals.
  • The jury recommends the recipient based on the submitted application.
