Huff Family Fund 2026 application update
The Huff Family Fund application details now show the 2026 window of August 3 to September 14, 2026 at 4 pm, replacing the previous 2025 dates. - Your organization’s current policy regarding maintaining up-to-date vulnerable sector checks for staff and volunteers, if the project involves working with anyone in the vulnerable sector.

Who is eligible?
- Registered charities in Prince Edward County that offer programs and services to the citizens of Prince Edward County.
- Qualified Donees.
- Organizations working in partnership with a Qualified Donee.
Who is not eligible
- Those who receive a multi-year grant cannot apply for additional funding through the Huff Family Fund until the original funding amount is dispersed.
Eligible expenses
- Inputs to allow projects to serve.
- Small capital projects and facility improvements that build organizational capacity to better serve.
- Ongoing operational costs in unique or certain circumstances.
- Staffing that is directly related to the delivery of the project or a new expense associated with the project.

How to apply
- Submit the application electronically using the submit button on the online form.
- Print the application, scan it, and email it to info@thecountyfoundation.ca.
- Drop off the application by hand at Unit 107, 35 Bridge St., P.O. Box 24, Picton, ON.
Processing and Agreement
- All submitted applications will receive a follow-up email from The County Foundation within 48 hours of receipt.
- Grant recipients are expected to recognize The County Foundation and The Huff Family Fund.
- Grant reports must be received within 1 year of the grant being announced, or 2 months following the end of the project, whichever is sooner.
- If a grant report is not submitted after a warning has been issued, you will be unable to apply for additional funding through The County Foundation for 1 year or more depending on the circumstances.

- Applying for a grant is a competitive process, and more grant applications are often received than there is funding available.
- Past funding commitments should not be interpreted as a guarantee that future requests will be approved.
