Who is eligible?
- Municipal, regional, or local governments
- Provincial or local/regional police services, including Indigenous police services
- Canadian universities, educational institutions, or school boards
- National not-for-profit organizations, including Indigenous organizations

- Federal Crown corporations
- For-profit organizations

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission against the fund’s criteria and rubric.
- Priority may be given to communities with regional resiliency or community safety and well-being plans.
- The department informs applicants of approval, rejection, or required modifications.
- If funded, the recipient must acknowledge the grant and submit a final report at project completion.

- Applications from communities with regional resiliency or community safety and well-being plans may receive preferential consideration.
- The project may be completed in English or French.
- The recipient must acknowledge receipt of the grant from the Department of Justice and Public Safety.
