The Christmas Cheer Foundation

• The applicant must be a registered charity.
• The organization must operate within the boundaries of the City of Ottawa.
• The organization must provide assistance and programs to disadvantaged individuals and families during the Christmas season.
• The applicant must demonstrate that it provides food assistance during the December holiday season.

• Registered charitable organizations supporting disadvantaged individuals and families during the Christmas season
• Local non-profit organizations with charitable status providing December holiday food assistance

• Organizations that are not registered charities
• Organizations operating outside the boundaries of the City of Ottawa
• Organizations that do not provide food assistance during the December holiday season

• Ensure the organization is prepared to demonstrate December holiday food assistance as part of its Christmas-season support activities.
• Plan to submit within the annual cycle to be considered for the current year.

• Submit an application or resubmit organizational information each year to be considered for funding.

• Submit by the annual deadline to be considered for the current cycle.
• If submitting after September 30, plan for consideration in the following year.

• Applications are reviewed by the Grant Committee and Board during September.
• Applicants may need to resubmit annually to be considered each year.
• Applications submitted after September 30 may be deferred to the following year.
