Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Indigenous Peoples, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit
  • Permanent residents of Canada
  • High school, college, trade school, and university students

Selection criteria

  • Priority is given to high school, college, CEGEP, trade school, and university students.
  • Preference is given to applicants pursuing mining-related studies or careers.
  • Consideration is also given to studies related to mining communities and the mineral extraction sector.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application package
    • Complete the application form.
    • Gather the most recent academic transcript.
    • Obtain two recommendation or reference letters.
    • Write the 400-word letter in English or in the native language.
  • Step 2: Submit the package
    • Send the complete application package by October 30.
    • Submit by email if preferred, or by mail to the address provided by the program.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission.
