Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Religious or political organizations that serve primarily their membership and/or for direct religious purposes

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Usual operational or core expenses, such as heat, lighting, rent, and existing staff salaries
  • Any expenses that predate the current grant cycle
  • Deficits, debts, or mortgage payments
  • Endowments
  • Annual fund drives

Selection criteria

  • The project encompasses the qualifying themes outlined in the preamble.
  • The need for financial assistance.
  • The community benefits that will be realized in Terrace and area.
  • Reasonable efforts to seek other funding sources, including other governments, non-governments, user fees and in-kind contributions.

How to apply

  • Submit an application in writing and include all required documents, including a completed application form.
  • Apply before the function or activity takes place.
  • Submit the application form and supporting documents by email to info@terracecf.ca or by mail to Terrace Community Foundation, PO Box 133, Terrace, BC, V8G 4A2.

Processing and Agreement

  • Grant application intakes close at end of day on May 1st and November 1st of each year.
  • Applications will be accepted during the one month period prior to these closing dates.
  • A Final Report is required as a condition of receiving a grant from the Terrace Community Foundation.
  • Final report submission will be required within 18 months of the grant award if the application is successful.
