How to apply
- Step 1: Prepare patio plan

- Step 2: Gather required documents
- Collect the business licence, insurance certificate, and liquor licence if applicable.
- Complete the application form.
- Step 3: Submit the application
- Email the application and supporting documents to business@oshawa.ca.
- Submit the insurance certificate within five business days.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission for completeness and compliance with all mandatory requirements.
- The City may revoke the permit if the insurance certificate is not received within five business days.
- Patios that do not meet safety criteria may be removed by bylaw officers.

- Temporary patio permits are available from April 15 to October 31.
- Permits issued under the program are non-renewable.
- Businesses serving alcohol must contact the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
