How to apply
- Step 1: Prepare the application
- Complete the required form and provide the project details.
- Gather the master file documents and other supporting materials requested by SODEC.
- Step 2: Submit through SOD@ccès
- File the application through the secure SOD@ccès portal.
- For some cases, submit at the same time as the tax credit request or, if already filed, through the portal afterward.
- Step 3: Provide follow-up documents
- Submit any additional documents requested by SODEC for review.
- For interruption claims, notify SODEC immediately and send the insurer refusal and loss proof documents.
- Step 4: Accept the funding agreement
- Review and accept the agreement if the application is approved.
- Comply with the terms and conditions attached to the assistance.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by SODEC staff, and external advice may be used if needed.
- For some components, pre-eligibility approval must be obtained before filming starts.
- For interruption claims, the applicant must notify SODEC when the incident occurs and submit insurer refusal and loss documentation.
- The final decision is based on supporting documents and, where applicable, the expert loss assessment.
- A funding agreement must be accepted before payment is made.

- The program is now closed and no longer accepts new applications.
- A SODEC logo must be included in the project credits.
- A final cost report and a detailed expense breakdown are required for final payment.
- The company must keep records and supporting documents for five years after receiving assistance.
