- Costs for studies and expert consulting (excluding geotechnical studies).
- Expenses related to the development of alternative solutions.
- Building modeling fees.
- Acquisition of necessary documents for design or testing.
- Professional fees for required laboratory testing and consultants.
- Direct costs of materials used in testing.
- Fees for use of laboratory equipment.
- Purchase of essential software and small equipment required for testing (e.g., data acquisition equipment for monitoring buildings).
- Certification and approval fees for innovative materials or systems.
- Production costs for prototypes and systems.
- For innovative solutions: cost of new construction materials used in developing new products or assemblies.
- For innovative buildings: cost of construction materials used in the building, except those related to foundation, electricity, heating, air conditioning, and plumbing. Materials for fire protection specific to wood use are eligible.
- Construction costs, particularly those related to new assembly techniques for the wood structure.
- Expenses for internal project labour, including mandatory social benefits (within program limits).
- Professional fees for preparing studies and reports for dissemination.
- On-site construction testing and third-party monitoring costs.
- Purchase of materials, software, and small equipment for operational parameter measurements required for project monitoring.
- Costs related to GHG emissions evaluation according to ISO 14064.
- Professional fees for developing the GHG monitoring and verification plan (ISO 14064).
- Fees for report preparation required by the program.

- Innovation: The project must score at least 60% (15 out of 25 points) in the 'innovation' section of the evaluation grid.
- Total Score: The project must obtain a minimum overall score of 75% to be considered eligible by the selection committee.

Prepare application and documents
- Prepare the completed financial assistance application form
- Gather all required supporting documents (project plan, audited financial statements, board resolution, team profiles, etc.)

Submit application to the Ministry
- Submit the application form and all supporting documents to the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks (MFFP)

Await review and respond to requests
- Await confirmation of receipt and preliminary assessment
- Respond to any additional information requests from MFFP

Receive approval and funding details
- Receive written confirmation of project acceptance and the granted funding amount

- All subsidized projects are required to submit progress and final reports, including details on greenhouse gas emissions reduced or avoided, as per specific reporting templates.
- Subsidy disbursements are made in installments, based on documented eligible expenses and project progress.
- The Ministry may request original supporting documents for eligible expenses for up to 5 years after project completion.
- Any insufficient or missing project reports may result in partial payment or reimbursement requests from the Ministry.
