Eligible expenses
- Indirect research costs (included for technological maturation projects only).
Selection criteria
- Criterion A: Quality of the project and the team, including project relevance and innovation, project risks, application quality, and the ability to complete the project.
- Criterion B: Technological transfer and commercial potential, including the IP strategy, commercialization or adoption potential, the level of private partner and adopting organization commitment, and the innovation valorization/commercialization plan.
- Applications must achieve at least 70% for both criteria A and B.
- Validation projects: Criterion A is scored out of 60 with a pass mark above 42, and Criterion B is scored out of 40 with a pass mark above 28.
- Maturation projects: Criterion A is scored out of 50 with a pass mark above 35, and Criterion B is scored out of 50 with a pass mark above 35.
Processing and Agreement
- Funding applications are analyzed by the Evaluation and Investment Committee (EIC) during the corresponding evaluation cohorts.

- Researchers receive support from Axelys during project preparation and submission.
